It presents a new approach to extract the CKM parameter $\bar{\eta}$ and a precision relation for phase-shift analysis in kaon decays, enhancing the discovery potential for new physics.
Findings
New method for $\bar{\eta}$ determination from decay interference
A precision relation for phase-shift in oscillations
Enhanced sensitivity to physics beyond the Standard Model
Abstract
We review a new method in order to determine the parameter of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix from decays, using interference effects in the time-dependent decay rate. Furthermore, we discuss a new precision relation for the phase-shift of the time-dependent oscillation. The new methodology enables the discovery potential of future time-dependent measurements of decays for physics beyond the Standard Model.
