TL;DR
This paper reports the first observation of the decay $B^0_s ightarrow ext{chi}_{c1}(3872) ightarrow J/ ext{psi}\pi^+\pi^-$ using LHCb data, measuring its branching ratio relative to a similar decay and analyzing the $ ext{pi}^+ ext{pi}^-$ mass spectrum.
Contribution
It presents the first observation and measurement of the branching ratio of the $B^0_s$ decay involving $ ext{chi}_{c1}(3872)$, expanding understanding of $B_s$ decay modes.
Findings
Measured the ratio of branching fractions to be approximately 6.8%
Observed a significant contribution from $f_0(980)$ in the $ ext{pi}^+ ext{pi}^-$ spectrum
Provided new data on $B_s$ decay channels involving exotic charmonium states
Abstract
The first observation of the decay is reported using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1, 2 and 6fb, collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13TeV, respectively. The ratio of branching fractions relative to the decay is measured to be where the first uncertainty is statistical and…
