A note on the standard diffusion curve of TAP analysis
Toby Isaac

TL;DR
This paper addresses the numerical instability of the standard diffusion curve in TAP reactor models for small values by introducing a functional equation-based method for stable computation across all values.
Contribution
It proposes a novel, numerically stable approach to compute the diffusion curve in TAP analysis using a functional equation.
Findings
The new method improves numerical stability for small values.
It allows accurate computation of the diffusion curve across its entire domain.
The approach enhances the reliability of TAP reactor modeling.
Abstract
The standard diffusion curve used in models of TAP reactors, as it is usually defined, is numerically unstable for small values. We use a functional equation satisfied by the curve to define a numerically stable way of computing it for all values.
