The use of Octree in point cloud analysis with application to cultural heritage
Rafa{\l} Bie\'nkowski, Krzysztof E. Rutkowski

TL;DR
This paper explores the application of Octree data structures for efficient analysis and compression of 3D point cloud data, with a focus on cultural heritage preservation.
Contribution
It introduces an Octree-based approach for point cloud processing, enhancing data analysis and compression techniques specific to cultural heritage applications.
Findings
Improved data compression efficiency
Enhanced analysis speed for large point clouds
Potential benefits for cultural heritage preservation
Abstract
In this article we present the effects of our work on the subject of the technical approach to the 3D point cloud data analysis through the use of the Octree method to compress, analyse and compute the initial data.
