Findings
Demonstrates tunability of THz frequency via hydrodynamic parameters
Proposes practical design for THz-whistle device
Discusses potential applications in THz technology
Abstract
We propose the turnable THz generator built on two-dimensional analog of conventional Helmholtz resonator. The generator excitation is provided by current flow similar to whistle in conventional hydrodynamics. The output frequency, hydrodynamic parameters and practical realization of THz-whistle are discussed regarding the possible applications.
