Excited doubly heavy baryons production via Higgs decays
Hong-Hao Ma, Juan-Juan Niu

TL;DR
This paper predicts the production rates and characteristics of excited doubly heavy baryons via Higgs decays in the standard model, providing detailed theoretical analysis and estimates for experimental detection at high-energy colliders.
Contribution
It offers a systematic prediction of excited doubly heavy baryon production via Higgs decays, including decay widths, distributions, and uncertainties, based on non-relativistic QCD.
Findings
Approximately 3% contribution from P-wave states to S-wave production.
Estimated event numbers: 41,000 for Xi_cc, 63,500 for Xi_bc, 2,800 for Xi_bb at HL-LHC.
Potential for detection at colliders like HL-LHC, CEPC, and ILC.
Abstract
Through the interaction of Higgs with heavy quarks in standard model, we have systematically studied and predicted the production of excited doubly heavy baryons based on non-relativistic QCD theory. The decay widths, differential distributions, and major theoretical uncertainties of the excited doubly heavy baryons via the process are discussed in detail. The spin and color quantum number of the intermediate -wave diquark state can be , , , , and , with . The…
