Radiative decays of the charmed mesons in a modified relativistic quark model
Jie-Lin Li, Dian-Yong Chen

TL;DR
This paper systematically estimates radiative decay rates of charmed mesons using a modified relativistic quark model, predicting sizable branching ratios that could be observed in future experiments.
Contribution
It provides new quantitative predictions for radiative decay branching ratios of charmed mesons within a modified relativistic quark model.
Findings
Branching ratios of certain decays are around 10^{-2}, detectable experimentally.
Some decay channels have branching ratios around 10^{-3}, accessible with future data.
Predictions can guide experimental searches for charmed meson radiative decays.
Abstract
In the present work, we perform systematic estimations for the radiative decays of the charmed mesons in a modified relativistic quark model. Our estimations indicate that the branching ratios of the process of , , , , and are of the order of , which are sizable to be detected experimentally. Moreover, the branching ratios of some channels, for example, , and are estimated to be of the order of , which may be accessible with the accumulation of data in future experiments.
