TL;DR
This paper constructs new AdS2 solutions in Type IIA supergravity derived from non-Abelian T-duality, interprets them as line defects in 4d N=2 SCFTs, and connects them to brane box configurations and quiver quantum mechanics.

It introduces a novel family of AdS2 solutions related to Gaiotto-Maldacena geometries, linking line defects, brane setups, and quiver quantum mechanics through non-Abelian T-duality.
Findings
Explicit AdS2 solutions with 4 supercharges constructed.
Line defect interpretation within 4d N=2 SCFT established.
Connection between brane box setups and quiver quantum mechanics demonstrated.
Abstract
We construct a new family of solutions to Type IIA supergravity with 4 supercharges acting with non-Abelian T-duality on the recent class constructed in arXiv:2107.12277. We focus on a particular solution in this class asymptoting locally to an Gaiotto-Maldacena geometry. This solution allows for a line defect interpretation within the 4d SCFT dual to this geometry, that we study in detail. We show that the defect branes, consisting on a non-trivial intersection of D2-D4-NS5-F1 branes, can be interpreted as baryon vertices within the 4d SCFT, whose backreaction gives rise to the solution. We construct the explicit quiver quantum mechanics that flows in the IR to the dual SCQM, and show that it can be embedded within the quiver CFT associated to the solution. The quiver quantum…
