Nikolay Bobev, Vasil Dimitrov, Annelien Vekemans

TL;DR
This paper constructs new AdS$_5$ black hole solutions in 11d supergravity from wrapped M5-branes, analyzing their thermodynamics and matching entropy with dual SCFT indices.
Contribution
It demonstrates how wrapped M5-branes produce asymptotically AdS$_5$ black holes with N$^3$ entropy scaling, connecting supergravity solutions with dual SCFTs.
Findings
Black hole solutions exhibit N$^3$ entropy scaling.
Supersymmetric black holes' entropy matches superconformal index.
Backreaction of wrapped M5-branes yields consistent AdS$_5$ black holes.
Abstract
We use consistent truncations in supergravity to show that the backreaction of rotating M5-branes wrapped on a Riemann surface leads to asymptotically AdS black hole solutions of 11d supergravity. We discuss the thermodynamic properties of these black holes focusing on their supersymmetric limit. The Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of the supersymmetric black holes scales as and can be reproduced by the superconformal index of the holographically dual 4d SCFTs of class .
