Energy dissipation in viscoelastic Bessel media
Ivano Colombaro, Andrea Giusti, Andrea Mentrelli

TL;DR
This paper analyzes energy dissipation in viscoelastic Bessel media, deriving attenuation factors expressed via Kelvin functions and confirming asymptotic behaviors consistent with prior rheological studies.
Contribution
It introduces a new expression for the quality factor in Bessel models of viscoelasticity using Kelvin functions and validates asymptotic behaviors with previous findings.
Findings
Quality factor expressed in terms of Kelvin functions
Asymptotic behaviors align with previous rheological results
Provides analytical confirmation of prior studies
Abstract
We investigate the specific attenuation factor for the Bessel models of viscoelasticity. We find that the quality factor for this class can be expressed in terms of Kelvin functions and that its asymptotic behaviours confirm the analytical results found in previous studies for the rheological properties of these models.
