$t\bar{t}b\bar{b}$ predictions at NLO in QCD and $b$-jet modelling
Michele Lupattelli

TL;DR
This paper provides advanced NLO QCD predictions for the fully decayed $tar{t}bar{b}$ process, including off-shell effects and $b$-jet modeling, crucial for accurate background estimation in top quark studies.
Contribution
It presents the first comprehensive NLO QCD predictions for the fully decayed $tar{t}bar{b}$ process with off-shell effects and detailed $b$-jet analysis.
Findings
NLO QCD corrections significantly affect the $tar{t}bar{b}$ predictions.
Off-shell effects impact the kinematic distributions.
Insights into the nature of $b$-jets in the final state.
Abstract
In this contribution we report on the latest theoretical predictions for . These results are obtained for the fully decayed final state at next-to-leading order accuracy in QCD. We present predictions with full off-shell effects and in the Narrow Width Approximation. Specifically, we report on the size of the NLO QCD corrections and the size of the full off-shell effects. Finally, we study the nature of the -jets present in the final state.
