The ReBB model at 8 TeV: Odderon exchange is not a probability, but a certainty
I. Szanyi, T. Cs\"org\H{o}

TL;DR
The study extends the ReBB model to 8 TeV data, demonstrating a statistically significant Odderon signal, confirming Odderon exchange as an inevitable feature in proton-proton and proton-antiproton scattering within the analyzed kinematic range.
Contribution
This work applies the ReBB model to 8 TeV data, providing strong evidence for Odderon exchange as a certainty rather than a probability.
Findings
ReBB model describes data in the specified kinematic range with statistical acceptability.
A >30 sigma Odderon signal is observed comparing pp and p̄p data.
Odderon exchange is confirmed as a certainty within the model framework.
Abstract
The Real Extended Bialas-Bzdak (ReBB) model study is extended to the 8 TeV TOTEM elastic differential cross section data. The analysis shows that the ReBB model describes the and differential cross section data in the limited GeV and TeV kinematic region, in a statistically acceptable manner. In this kinematic region a greater than 30 model-dependent Odderon signal is observed by comparing the and ReBB extrapolated differential cross sections. Thus, in practical terms, within the framework of the ReBB model, Odderon exchange is not a probability, but a certainty.
