Top-pair events with B-hadrons at the LHC
Terry Generet

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new computational framework for calculating top-pair production with B-hadrons at the LHC, including fragmentation and decay processes, providing more precise theoretical predictions.
Contribution
It presents the first implementation of fragmentation in a numerical code for NNLO QCD cross sections and applies it to top-pair plus B-hadron production at the LHC.
Findings
First application of fragmentation in NNLO QCD calculations
Extended calculations include B-hadron decay to J/ψ or muon
Provides improved theoretical predictions for top-pair events with B-hadrons
Abstract
The first implementation of fragmentation in a numerical code for the computation of cross sections at next-to-next-to-leading order in QCD has recently been completed. I will present some results of the first application of this new framework to the production of top-quark pairs at the LHC in association with a bottom-flavoured hadron. Additionally, I will present an extended version of this calculation, which includes the decay of the -hadron to a meson or a muon.
