TL;DR
This paper reports CMS Collaboration's latest measurements of top quark spin and polarization, including asymmetries in single-top production and detailed spin density matrix coefficients, with projections for the High-Luminosity LHC.
Contribution
It provides new experimental measurements of top quark spin properties and their extrapolation to future collider scenarios, enhancing understanding of top quark dynamics.
Findings
Measured top quark spin asymmetries in t-channel and Z-associated production
Determined all coefficients of the top quark-antiquark spin density matrix
Extrapolated results to High-Luminosity LHC conditions
Abstract
We describe the latest results obtained by the CMS Collaboration on top quark spin and polarization properties. The top quark spin asymmetry is measured both targeting single-top quark production in the -channel and single-top quark production in association with a Z boson. Additionally, all the independent coefficients of the spin-dependent part of the top quark-antiquark production density matrix are measured and the results are extrapolated to the High-Luminosity LHC scenario.
