TL;DR
This study reports the first observation of $\Lambda ext{-}\pi^ ext{+}$ and $\Lambda ext{-}\pi^ ext{-}$ signals near the $ar{K}N$ mass threshold in $\Lambda_c^+$ decays, indicating potential resonances or cusp phenomena.
Contribution
First experimental observation of $\Lambda ext{-}\pi^ ext{+}$ and $\Lambda ext{-}\pi^ ext{-}$ signals near the $ar{K}N$ threshold in $\Lambda_c^+$ decay, with detailed mass and width measurements.
Findings
Significant signals observed near the $ar{K}N$ threshold.
Measured resonance-like masses and widths with high statistical significance.
Limited data prevents discrimination between resonance and cusp interpretations.
Abstract
Using the data sample of 980 fb collected with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider, we present the results of an investigation of the and invariant mass distributions looking for substructure in the decay . We find a significant signal in each mass dis\ tribution. When interpreted as resonances, we find for the () combination a mass of MeV/ [ MeV/], an intrinsic width of MeV/ [ MeV/] with a significance of 7.5 (6.2). As these two signals are very close to the threshold, we…
