TL;DR
This paper investigates five-dimensional superconformal field theories deformed by mass terms, computing free energy and verifying the F-theorem through both field theory and supergravity duals, extending understanding of AdS6/CFT5 correspondence.
Contribution
It provides a detailed calculation of free energy for deformed 5D SCFTs and confirms the F-theorem in this context, linking field theory results with supergravity duals.
Findings
Free energy computed at arbitrary mass deformation
Verification of the F-theorem in both field theory and supergravity
Establishment of correspondence between field theory and supergravity calculations
Abstract
We study five-dimensional Superconformal Field Theories of the linear quiver type. These are deformed by a relevant operator, corresponding to a homogeneous mass term for certain matter fields. The free energy is calculated at arbitrary values of the mass parameter. After a careful regularisation procedure, the result can be put in correspondence with a calculation in the supergravity dual background. The F-theorem is verified for these flows, both in field theory and in supergravity. This letter presents some of the results in the companion paper arXiv:2211.13240.
