Andrei Com\u{a}neci, Michael Joswig

TL;DR
This paper introduces a parametric Fermat-Weber problem related to asymmetric distances in tropical geometry, providing a new method for constructing phylogenetic supertrees.
Contribution
It presents a novel parametric approach to Fermat-Weber problems in tropical geometry, enabling the construction of phylogenetic supertrees.
Findings
Developed a parametric Fermat-Weber framework for asymmetric distances
Provided a method for constructing phylogenetic supertrees
Linked tropical geometry with phylogenetic analysis
Abstract
We study a parametric version of the Fermat-Weber problem with respect to an asymmetric distance function, which occurs naturally in tropical geometry. Our results yield a method for constructing phylogenetic supertrees.
