Mart\'in Novoa-Brunet

TL;DR
This paper explores how deviations from the Standard Model in $b o s\mu^+\mu^-$ decays impact other flavor-changing neutral-current processes involving down-type quarks and neutrinos, using an effective field theory approach.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive effective field theory framework that incorporates right-handed currents and approximate U(2) flavor symmetry to analyze correlations among rare decays.
Findings
Correlations between $B o h_s uar u$ and kaon decay branching ratios are identified.
Implications of deviations in $b o s\mu^+\mu^-$ for other FCNC processes are discussed.
Framework accommodates both minimal and more general flavor violation scenarios.
Abstract
We discuss the consequences of deviations from the Standard Model observed in transitions for flavour-changing neutral-current processes involving down-type quarks and neutrinos. We work within an effective field theory approach respecting the SM gauge symmetry, including right-handed currents, a flavour structure based on approximate U(2) symmetry, and assuming only SM-like light neutrinos. We discuss correlations among (), and branching ratios in the case of linear Minimal Flavour Violation and in a more general framework.
