Alex Kehagias, Davide Perrone, Antonio Riotto

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that near-zone linear perturbations of Kerr black holes are equivalent to those of AdS$_2$ black holes, enabling the calculation of quasinormal modes and Love numbers via AdS$_2$/CFT$_1$ correspondence.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach linking Kerr black hole perturbations to AdS$_2$ black holes, allowing new calculations of their spectral properties.
Findings
Calculated quasinormal mode spectrum of Kerr black holes.
Determined Love numbers using AdS$_2$/CFT$_1$ correspondence.
Established a group theoretical method for these computations.
Abstract
We show that the linear perturbations of any spin field in the near-zone limit of the Kerr black hole are identical to those of an AdS black hole which enjoys the same basic properties of the Kerr black hole. Thanks to this identification, we calculate the spectrum of the quasinormal modes and the Love numbers of Kerr black holes using an AdS/CFT correspondence and a group theoretical approach.
