Cardy Expansion of 3d Superconformal Indices and Corrections to the Dual Black Hole Entropy
Alfredo Gonz\'alez Lezcano, Maximilian Jerdee, Leopoldo A. Pando, Zayas

TL;DR
This paper develops a Cardy-like expansion for 3d ${ m extbf{N}=2}$ superconformal indices, revealing sub-leading structures, non-perturbative effects, and implications for black hole entropy corrections in AdS$_4$ duals.
Contribution
It introduces a systematic Cardy-like expansion for 3d superconformal indices, analyzing sub-leading terms, large-N limits, and non-perturbative contributions, with applications to black hole entropy corrections.
Findings
Large-N limit simplifies the index to $1/\beta$ and polynomial in $\beta$ terms.
Finite N reveals non-perturbative $e^{-1/\beta}$ contributions.
Entropy corrections in ABJM theory can be explained by charge and angular momentum shifts.
Abstract
We consider the superconformal index of three-dimensional supersymmetric field theories computed via localization on . We systematically develop an expansion where the ratio of the radius of to the radius of is taken very small -- a Cardy-like expansion. We emphasize the sub-leading structures in this Cardy-like expansion as well as their interplay with the large- limit for theories with gauge group of the form product of factors. We demonstrate that taking the large- limit first leads to an expression for the index that only includes terms proportional to and powers of where is the ratio of radii. As we depart from the limit for finite , we find indications of non-perturbative contributions of the form . For the ABJM theory we explore the implications of the Cardy-like…
