TL;DR
This paper investigates the production and decay signatures of charged Higgs bosons in the Two-Higgs Doublet Model at the LHC, proposing specific final states for experimental searches.
Contribution
It analyzes two main production channels of charged Higgs in 2HDM, focusing on their signatures and potential observability at the LHC, especially for low tanβ and specific mass conditions.
Findings
Significant production rates at low tanβ for certain mass ranges.
Proposed final states include bb, ττ, γγ with WW or Wbj.
Complementary to existing LHC charged Higgs searches.
Abstract
A search for charged Higgs may yield clear and direct signs of new physics outside the realm of the Standard Model (SM). In the Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM), we investigate two of the main single charged Higgs production channels at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), assuming that either or replicates the detected resonance at . We consider the possibility of the charged Higgs boson production through the and production processes that may present additional significance at the LHC experiments. Considering the decay channels and mainly concentrating on the , and decays of and , we examine the possible signatures arising from the aforementioned charged Higgs production and decay in both type-I and type-X realizations of 2HDM. Our…
