Farhad Arpanaei, M.Ranjbar Zefreh, Jose A.Hernandez, Andrea Carena,, David Larrabeiti

TL;DR
This paper compares various incoherent GN models in elastic optical networks, demonstrating that incorporating dispersion correction and modulation formats improves their accuracy across different network conditions.
Contribution
It provides the first comprehensive comparison of incoherent GN models with heterogeneous spans and partial loads, highlighting the impact of dispersion correction and modulation formats.
Findings
InGN models with dispersion correction are more accurate.
Inclusion of modulation format terms enhances model precision.
Models perform better under partially loaded link conditions.
Abstract
An unprecedented comparison of closed-form incoherent GN (InGN) models is presented with heterogeneous spans and partially loaded links in elastic optical networks. Results reveal that with accumulated dispersion correction and modulation format terms, the InGN shows higher accuracy.
