S. Zarrin, S. Dadfar

TL;DR
This paper derives compact formulas for heavy quark structure functions in electron-proton interactions at NLO, compares theoretical predictions with experimental data, and provides insights into gluon density behavior.
Contribution
It introduces new compact formulas for heavy quark structure functions at NLO and compares these with experimental data and existing models.
Findings
Formulas agree well with HERA data.
Ratios $R^{qar{q}}$ are computed for different quarks.
Results align with KLN and MSTW2008 predictions.
Abstract
We provide compact formulas for the heavy quarks structure functions and , with and , in interaction with respect to the behavior of the gluon density at the next-to-leading order (NLO) approximation and present ratios for these quarks. To do this, we obtain a fitted form of the heavy quark coefficient functions for deep-inelastic lepton-hadron scattering at a wide range of values. The obtained numerical results are compared with experimental data from HERA and with the results from the KLN model and the MSTW2008 predictions.
