ATLAS Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper searches for Higgs boson pair production associated with vector bosons in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV using ATLAS data, setting limits on non-resonant and resonant production modes and constraining extended Higgs models.
Contribution
First comprehensive search for $Vhh$ production in multiple decay channels at 13 TeV with ATLAS, including non-resonant and resonant scenarios, and setting limits on new physics models.
Findings
Upper limit of 183 times the SM cross-section for non-resonant $Vhh$ production.
Constraints on heavy scalar and pseudoscalar resonances decaying into Higgs pairs.
Limits on parameters of two-Higgs-doublet models.
Abstract
This paper reports a search for Higgs boson pair () production in association with a vector boson ( or ) using 139 of proton-proton collision data at 13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The search is performed in final states in which the vector boson decays leptonically ( with ) and the Higgs bosons each decay into a pair of -quarks. It targets signals from both non-resonant production, present in the Standard Model (SM), and resonant production, as predicted in some SM extensions. A 95% confidence-level upper limit of 183 (87) times the SM cross-section is observed (expected) for non-resonant production when assuming the kinematics are as expected in the SM. Constraints are also placed on Higgs boson coupling modifiers. For the resonant search,…
