Quarkonium production in p-Pb collisions with ALICE
Biswarup Paul (for the ALICE Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports on measurements of quarkonium production in proton-lead collisions at different rapidities and energies using ALICE, providing insights into nuclear effects and comparisons with theoretical models.
Contribution
It presents new measurements of J/ψ, ψ(2S), and Υ states at various rapidities and energies, enhancing understanding of quarkonium production in nuclear environments.
Findings
Measured J/ψ production at mid, forward, and backward rapidities.
Compared nuclear modification factors of Υ(1S) and Υ(2S).
Discussed results in context of lower energy data and theoretical models.
Abstract
ALICE has measured quarkonium production in p-Pb collisions at backward (4.46 2.96), mid (1.37 0.43) and forward (2.03 3.53) rapidity () regions down to zero transverse momentum (). The inclusive J/ production has been studied at mid- in p-Pb interactions at = 5.02 TeV and at forward and backward in p-Pb collisions at = 5.02 TeV and 8.16 TeV. The comparison of the J/ production to the one of the loosely bound (2S) state is discussed, together with new results on the nuclear modification factors of the (1S) and (2S) states measured at forward and backward . All the results will be compared to those obtained at lower energies and with available theoretical calculations.
