Adam Virgili, Waseem Kamleh, Derek Leinweber

TL;DR
This study computes the Landau-gauge quark propagator with overlap fermions near the physical pion mass, analyzing its features and comparing results with Wilson fermions to understand non-perturbative QCD effects.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed calculation of the overlap quark propagator at near-physical pion mass on 2+1-flavour dynamical gauge fields, including a comparative analysis with Wilson fermions.
Findings
Features of mass and renormalisation functions are characterized.
Comparison shows differences and similarities with Wilson fermion results.
Results enhance understanding of non-perturbative quark behavior near physical pion mass.
Abstract
The Landau-gauge quark propagator is calculated using overlap fermions on 2+1-flavour dynamical fermion gauge fields from the PACS-CS collaboration with pion mass and spatial volume The observed features of the mass and renormalisation functions are discussed, including a comparison with recent results using -improved Wilson fermions on 2-flavour dynamical gauge fields.
