TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the QCD formalism explaining high-$p_T$ suppression in heavy-ion collisions also predicts an increased production of $car{c}$ pairs within jets due to medium effects.
Contribution
It introduces a novel prediction that medium effects enhance $car{c}$ pair production in jets, extending existing QCD models.
Findings
Medium enhances $car{c}$ production in jets.
QCD formalism links suppression and enhancement phenomena.
Predictions can be tested in heavy-ion collision experiments.
Abstract
We show that the same QCD formalism that accounts for the suppression of high- hadron and jet spectra in heavy-ion collisions predicts medium-enhanced production of pairs in jets.
