Production of single-charmed baryons in a quark model approach
Daniel Iglesias-Ferrero, David R. Entem, Francisco Fern\'andez, Pablo, G. Ortega

TL;DR
This paper models the production of single-charmed baryons in proton-antiproton collisions using a constituent quark model, providing cross section predictions relevant for future experimental searches.
Contribution
It introduces a quark model approach to predict charmed baryon production cross sections, extending previous models to include charm quark processes in proton-antiproton collisions.
Findings
Cross sections for $ ext{p}ar{ ext{p}} o ext{single-charmed baryons}$ are around 1 nb at 10-14 GeV.
Predicted cross sections vary from 0.01 to 1 nb depending on the channel.
Results are relevant for future experiments like $ar{ ext{P}}$ANDA.
Abstract
The production of single-charmed baryons , +h.c. and in collisions is studied in the framework of a constituent quark model which has satisfactorily described the system and the strangeness production , and processes. Predictions on the total cross sections are analyzed for different approaches to the underlying process, mediated by one gluon annihilation diagrams. The results indicate that the cross section is of the order of nb between GeV for and channels, and around nb for . This estimations can be relevant for their future search in facilities like ANDA.
