Rebbecca TY Thien, Shanon L. Vuglar, Ian R. Petersen

TL;DR
This paper establishes a J-spectral factorization criterion for realizing strictly proper transfer functions as physically implementable quantum systems with direct feedthrough quantum noise, including a necessary frequency response condition.
Contribution
It introduces a novel J-spectral factorization condition for quantum system realization using direct feedthrough noise, advancing the theoretical understanding of quantum system synthesis.
Findings
Provides a new J-spectral factorization condition
Includes a necessary frequency response condition
Illustrates results with examples
Abstract
This paper gives a J-spectral factorization condition for the implementation of a strictly proper transfer function matrix as a physically realizable quantum system using only direct feedthrough quantum noise. A necessary frequency response condition is also presented. Examples are included to illustrate the main results.
