The Method of Visual Satellite Photometry
Anthony Mallama

TL;DR
This paper presents a method for visually measuring the brightness of artificial satellites to monitor their impact on astronomical observations.
Contribution
It introduces a practical eye-based technique for recording satellite brightness, aiding in the assessment of their interference.
Findings
Effective visual measurement method described
Method useful for satellite brightness monitoring
Supports astronomical observation preservation
Abstract
Large constellations of artificial satellites are beginning to interfere with astronomical observing. Visual magnitude measurements of these spacecraft are useful for monitoring and characterizing their brightness. This paper describes the method used for recording brightness by eye.
