Theory review for hadronic corrections to $g-2$
Maarten Golterman

TL;DR
This paper reviews Standard-Model calculations of hadronic effects on the muon g-2, focusing on the hadronic vacuum polarization, and discusses discrepancies between data-driven and lattice QCD evaluations.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive comparison of dispersive and lattice approaches to hadronic vacuum polarization contributions to muon g-2.
Findings
Highlighting the discrepancy between data-based and lattice evaluations.
Analyzing the impact of different methods on the muon g-2 calculation.
Summarizing current challenges in hadronic contribution estimations.
Abstract
We review Standard-Model evaluations of hadronic contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment . Most space is devoted to the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution, in view of the discrepancy between the data-based dispersive evaluation and the lattice evaluation by the BMW collaboration.
