TL;DR
This paper reports the first measurements of pion, kaon, and (anti-)proton transverse momentum spectra in U+U collisions at 193 GeV, analyzing particle yields, ratios, and freeze-out parameters, and comparing with Au+Au data and the AMPT model.
Contribution
It provides new experimental data on identified particle production in U+U collisions at RHIC, extending previous measurements from Au+Au collisions and testing the AMPT model.
Findings
Particle yields and ratios vary with collision centrality.
Average transverse momenta are consistent with previous Au+Au results.
Model comparisons show reasonable agreement with experimental data.
Abstract
We present the first measurements of transverse momentum spectra of , , at midrapidity () in U+U collisions at = 193 GeV with the STAR detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). The centrality dependence of particle yields, average transverse momenta, particle ratios and kinetic freeze-out parameters are discussed. The results are compared with the published results from Au+Au collisions at 200 GeV in STAR. The results are also compared to those from A Multi Phase Transport (AMPT) model.
