Sensitivity and constraints to the 2HDM soft-breaking $Z_2$ parameter $m_{12}$
F. Arco, S. Heinemeyer, M.J. Herrero

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the soft-breaking $Z_2$ parameter $m_{12}$ in the 2HDM affects Higgs decay signals, especially the di-photon rate, under current experimental constraints and different model assumptions.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of constraints on $m_{12}$ from Higgs decay measurements within the 2HDM, considering various Yukawa types and recent experimental data.
Findings
Constraints on $m_{12}$ depend on the Yukawa type of 2HDM.
Current Higgs data restrict the $m_{12}$ parameter space.
Analysis includes recent $m_W$ measurements and their impact.
Abstract
In this letter we study the specific sensitivity and constraints to the soft breaking parameter of the Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM). is considered here as an input parameter of the model together with the masses of the Higgs bosons, , , , , the ratio of the two Higgs vacuum expectation values, , and , with and the mixing angles of the -even and -odd Higgs sector, respectively. We explore in particular the sensitivity to in the decays of the lightest Higgs boson to two photons, assuming: 1) that is the state observed at the LHC at , and 2) the couplings to the SM particles are SM-like, by going to the alignment limit, . The aim of this work is to demonstrate possible constraints on …
