$D=11$ $dS_5$ backgrounds with enhanced supersymmetry
D. Farotti, J. Gutowski

TL;DR
This paper classifies all eleven-dimensional supergravity backgrounds with de Sitter five-dimensional factors that have enhanced supersymmetry, identifying specific configurations with 16, 24, or 32 supercharges.
Contribution
It provides a complete classification of warped dS_5 backgrounds in D=11 supergravity with enhanced supersymmetry, detailing their geometric and brane configurations.
Findings
N=16 backgrounds include M5-brane stacks and generalized configurations.
No backgrounds with exactly N=24 supersymmetries exist.
N=32 backgrounds are either flat space or AdS_7 x S^4.
Abstract
We classify all warped backgrounds in supergravity with enhanced supersymmetry. We show that backgrounds preserving supersymmetries consist of either a stack of M5 branes with transverse space , or a generalized M5-brane configuration with transverse space , where is a hyper-Kahler manifold and the -brane harmonic function is determined by a hyper-Kahler potential on . Moreover, we find that there are no backgrounds preserving exactly supersymmetries. Backgrounds preserving supersymmetries correspond to either or .
