Jae Woo Lee, Kyeongsoo Hong, Hye-Young Kim, Jang-Ho Park

TL;DR
This study characterizes the binary system WASP 1814+48, revealing it as a rare EL CVn star with a pulsating primary and a pre-He white dwarf companion, through spectroscopic and photometric analysis.
Contribution
First detailed spectroscopic and photometric analysis of WASP 1814+48, confirming its status as a pulsating EL CVn star with a pre-He white dwarf companion.
Findings
Determined fundamental parameters of both stars in the binary.
Identified pulsation modes in both the primary and the pre-He WD.
Confirmed the system as the fifth known EL CVn star with this configuration.
Abstract
For the EL CVn candidate 1SWASPJ181417.43+481117.0 (WASP 1814+48), we secured the first spectroscopic observations between 2015 April and 2021 March. Using the echelle spectra, the radial velocities (RVs) of the primary star were measured with its atmospheric parameters of K and km s. We fitted our single-lined RVs and the TESS light curve simultaneously. From the binary modeling, we determined the following fundamental parameters for each component: , , and for WASP 1814+48 A, and , , and for WASP 1814+48 B. The surface gravity of obtained from and is concurrent with 5.0970.025 computed directly from the observable…
