TL;DR
This paper reports on the measurement of fusion and reaction cross sections for the $^{18}$O+$^{12}$C reaction at 16.7 MeV/nucleon, using experimental data and statistical modeling to estimate key nuclear reaction parameters.
Contribution
It introduces an indirect method to estimate absolute fusion and total reaction cross sections for this specific nuclear reaction at intermediate energy.
Findings
Estimated cross sections as a function of heavy residue charge
Normalization factor derived from statistical model
Data collected with GARFIELD+RCo setup at LNL
Abstract
The absolute cross section for the complete fusion and the total reaction cross section as a function of the charge of the heavy residue have been indirectly estimated for the reaction O+C at 16.7 MeV/nucleon. Data have been collected with the GARFIELD+RCo setup at LNL (Italy). The mbarn/count normalization factor has been extracted using the statistical model HF (Hauser-Feshbach light).
