Lectures on Introduction to Quantum Field Theory
Ghanashyam Date

TL;DR
This paper provides comprehensive lecture notes on quantum field theory, covering free fields, interactions, perturbative calculations, radiative corrections, and path integrals, aimed at students and researchers in theoretical physics.
Contribution
It offers a detailed pedagogical introduction to QFT with explicit calculations and foundational concepts, especially in perturbation theory and renormalization.
Findings
Explicit computation of QED processes
Introduction to 1-loop radiative corrections
Foundational overview of path integrals
Abstract
These are lecture notes of the QFT-I course I gave in an online mode at Chennai Mathematical Institute. The course focussed on the free relativistic quantum fields, their interactions in the perturbative scattering framework, standard computations of QED processes, radiative corrections at 1-loop with renormalization and an introduction to the toolbox of path integrals.
