TL;DR
This paper reports precise measurements of specific B meson decay branching fractions, tests QCD factorization, and examines flavor symmetry, providing insights into strong interaction effects in heavy meson decays.
Contribution
It presents new experimental measurements of B meson decay rates, tests QCD factorization predictions, and evaluates flavor SU(3) symmetry with high precision.
Findings
Branching fractions for $ar{B}^0 o D^{*+} ho^-$ and $ar{B}^0 o D^{*+} K^-$ measured.
QCD factorization parameters $|a_1(h)|$ found to be about 15% lower than theoretical expectations.
No significant evidence for SU(3) symmetry breaking at 5% precision level.
Abstract
Using meson pairs recorded by the Belle experiment at the KEKB collider, we report the branching fractions and ; the quoted uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. A measurement of the ratio of these branching fractions is also presented, , where systematic uncertainties due to the meson reconstruction cancel out. Furthermore, we report a new QCD factorization test based on the measured ratios for and decays at squared momentum transfer values equivalent to the…
