TL;DR
This paper investigates the muonic decay of light charged Higgs bosons within the 2HDM type-III, highlighting potential dominant signals that offer alternative detection signatures compared to top quark decay channels.
Contribution
It explores the muonic decay channel of light charged Higgs bosons in 2HDM type-III, emphasizing its potential as a dominant and detectable signal in collider experiments.
Findings
$H^ o o ext{muon} u$ can be the dominant decay mode.
Alternative signatures to top quark decay are identified.
Analysis applies to $m_{H^ ext{\pm}}\, ext{less than or equal to}\, m_t - m_b$.
Abstract
We discus the muonic decay of light charged Higgs boson for in the context of the generic two Higgs doublet model (2HDM) type-III. We show that for both alignment limit scenarios, the signal could be dominant and give alternative reachable signatures to those arising from top quark production and decay.
