Yasuhiro Yamaguchi, Shigehiro Yasui, Atsushi Hosaka

TL;DR
This paper models the interactions between open heavy mesons and nucleons using meson exchange potentials, suggesting possible bound states for charm and bottom sectors, with the sigma exchange being particularly significant.
Contribution
It introduces a potential model respecting chiral and spin symmetries to predict heavy meson-nucleon bound states, extending nuclear force concepts to heavy flavor sectors.
Findings
Possible bound states for $ar{D}N$ and $BN$ with specific quantum numbers.
The sigma exchange potential is crucial in the interaction.
Model parameters are calibrated using phenomenological nuclear potentials.
Abstract
We discuss the interaction of an open heavy meson ( and for charm or and for bottom) and a nucleon () by considering the , , , and exchange potentials. We construct a potential model by respecting chiral symmetry for light quarks and spin symmetry for heavy quarks. Model parameters are adjusted by referring the phenomenological nuclear (CD-Bonn) potentials reproducing the low-energy scatterings. We show that the resulting interaction may accommodate and bound states with quantum number , and a bound state with . We find that, in the present potential model, the exchange potential plays an important role.
