$f(R)$-Gravity Generated Post-inflationary Eras and their Effect on Primordial Gravitational Waves
V.K. Oikonomou

TL;DR
This paper investigates how a post-inflationary era generated by $f(R)$ gravity and perfect fluids affects the primordial gravitational wave spectrum, showing amplification especially during matter-dominated phases.
Contribution
It introduces a model of a geometrically generated post-inflationary era with specific equations of state and analyzes its impact on gravitational wave spectra, incorporating effects on inflationary indices.
Findings
Amplification of gravitational wave spectrum in both studied cases.
Stronger amplification during matter domination ($w=0$).
Post-inflationary era influences the inflationary e-foldings and gravitational wave energy spectrum.
Abstract
In this work we shall consider the effects of a geometrically generated post-inflationary era on the energy spectrum of the primordial gravitational waves. Specifically, we shall consider a post-inflationary constant equation of state era, generated by the synergistic effect of gravity and of radiation and matter perfect fluids. Two cases of interest shall be studied, one with equation of state parameter , in which case the Universe neither accelerates nor decelerates, and one with so an early matter domination era. For the evaluation of the inflationary observational indices which is relevant for the calculation of the gravitational waves energy spectrum, we also took into account the effects of the constant equation of state parameter era, on the -foldings number. In both the and cases, the energy spectrum of the primordial gravitational waves is…
