Rachid Benbrik, Mohamed Krab, Mohamed Ouchemhou

TL;DR
This paper investigates the production of charged Higgs bosons in the Two-Higgs Doublet Model at the LHC, focusing on associated production with a bottom quark and jet, and explores potential signals for discovery.
Contribution
It introduces a novel analysis of charged Higgs production via $pp ightarrow H^\pm bj$ in 2HDM type-I, considering specific decay channels and identifying promising signals for LHC detection.
Findings
Potential signals include $qbW+2b/2\tau/2\gamma$ for charged Higgs detection.
A significant parameter space region supports these promising signals.
The study provides theoretical and experimental constraints on the search strategies.
Abstract
The searches for charged Higgs bosons can be used to probe new physics at the LHC. In the current study, we concentrate on the associated production of the charged Higgs boson with the bottom quark and the jet in Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) type-I as promising mode for a light , i.e. . For this we consider the two situations where or is the SM-type Higgs boson discovered with a mass close to 125 GeV and investigate its bosonic decays, namely and/or . The potential signals at the LHC are then discussed, under both theoretical and experimental constraints. Over a substantial region of the 2HDM type-I parameter space, a promising alternative signals that could be used for the discovery of states at the LHC are identified as .
