TL;DR
This paper interprets the $ ext{Xi}_b(6100)$ as a P-wave bottom baryon with $J^P=3/2^-$, predicts its partner state with $J^P=1/2^-$, and relates these findings to known baryons using QCD sum rules.
Contribution
It provides a novel interpretation of $ ext{Xi}_b(6100)$ as a P-wave bottom baryon and predicts properties of its partner states within heavy quark effective theory.
Findings
$ ext{Xi}_b(6100)$ is identified as a $J^P=3/2^-$ P-wave bottom baryon.
Predicted mass of the partner $ ext{Xi}_b(1/2^-)$ is approximately 6.08 GeV.
Mass splitting between the states is about 9 MeV.
Abstract
We study the using the methods of QCD sum rules and light-cone sum rules within the framework of heavy quark effective theory. Our results suggest that the can be well interpreted as the -wave bottom baryon of , belonging to the flavor representation. It has a partner state of , labelled as , whose mass and width are predicted to be ~GeV and ~MeV, with the mass splitting ~MeV. We propose to search for it in the decay channel. Our results also suggest that the and are their partner states with and respectively, and moreover, the , ,…
