Akihiro Iwanaka, Daisuke Fujii, Atsushi Hosaka

TL;DR
This paper investigates the decay of the $N(1535)$ baryon in holographic QCD, deriving an analytic axial coupling and estimating decay width, which aligns reasonably with experimental observations.
Contribution
It provides a novel holographic QCD calculation of the $N(1535)$ decay process, including an analytic formula for the axial coupling and decay width estimation.
Findings
Calculated $g_A^{NN^*} o 0.32$ at $|oldsymbol{k}|=448$ MeV
Estimated decay width $ o 30$ MeV
Results are reasonably consistent with experimental data
Abstract
We study one pion emission decay of the first excited state of the nucleon with negative parity in the holographic model of QCD. The excited state is described as a vibrational mode along the extra direction in the five-dimensional space-time of the model. We have obtained an analytic formula for the axial coupling of . The off-diagonal axial coupling is obtained at the decaying pion momentum MeV as , and hence a partial decay width MeV, which is smaller than but reasonably compared to the experimental data.
