Scalar-hairy Lovelock gravity respects zeroth law
Chaoxi Fang, Libo Xie, Jie Jiang, Ming Zhang

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that in scalar-hairy Lovelock gravity, the surface gravity remains constant on a Killing horizon under the dominant energy condition, extending the zeroth law of black hole mechanics.
Contribution
It establishes the validity of the zeroth law in scalar-hairy Lovelock gravity for general Killing horizons with matter fields obeying the dominant energy condition.
Findings
Surface gravity is constant on Killing horizons in scalar-hairy Lovelock gravity.
The zeroth law holds under the dominant energy condition.
Generalization of the zeroth law to scalar-hairy Lovelock gravity.
Abstract
We study the zeroth law for Killing horizon in scalar-hairy Lovelock gravity, and show that the surface gravity of a general Killing horizon in the scalar-hairy Lovelock gravity is constant, provided that the dominant energy condition is obeyed by the matter field.
