TL;DR
This paper introduces a new set of parton distribution functions (PDFs) fitted at leading-order QCD, improving fit quality and illustrating their implications with LHC data.
Contribution
It presents the first CT18 PDFs fitted at leading-order QCD, with additional treatments to enhance fit quality and practical implications for LHC processes.
Findings
Improved fit quality for CT18 LO PDFs.
Demonstrated implications for W-boson asymmetry and single-top production.
Provides a practical tool for LO QCD analyses.
Abstract
In this paper, we present a CT18 PDFs fitted with Leading-Order QCD perturbation theory. The CT18 LO PDFs is obtained within the general CT18 framework, along with two additional treatments being imposed to improve the quality of the fit. We take the -boson charge asymmetry and inclusive single-top production at LHC as examples to illustrate the implication of the CT18 LO PDFs.
