Contribution
It presents a novel AC line outage distribution factor derived from circuit-theoretic power flow models, enhancing contingency screening efficiency.
Findings
Effective quantification of outage impacts demonstrated
Fast contingency screening potential validated
Circuit-theoretic model outperforms traditional methods
Abstract
This work presents the design of AC line outage distribution factor created from the circuit-theoretic power flow models. Experiment results are shown to demonstrate its efficacy in quantifying the impact of line outages on the grid, and its resulting potential for fast contingency screening.
