How to design a network architecture using availability
Gilbert Moisio

TL;DR
This paper introduces a method to compute network availability using Reliability Block Diagrams, emphasizing the importance of availability and capacity planning in network design.
Contribution
It presents a novel approach to quantify network availability through Reliability Block Diagrams for improved design accuracy.
Findings
Availability can be effectively modeled with Reliability Block Diagrams.
The approach aids in capacity planning by incorporating availability metrics.
Designing networks with this method enhances reliability and performance.
Abstract
The best way to design a network is to take into account Availability values and Capacity Planning. You already saw Availability expressed with numbers such as 99.99%. The purpose of this document is to introduce the way to compute Availability values using Reliability Block Diagrams.
