TL;DR
This paper constructs new supersymmetric $AdS_3$ solutions in $D=11$ supergravity, dual to 2D SCFTs from M5-branes wrapped on complex four-dimensional orbifolds, and confirms their central charges match field theory predictions.
Contribution
It introduces novel $D=11$ supergravity solutions for M5-branes on orbifolds and develops a new consistent Kaluza-Klein truncation from $D=7$ to $D=5$ supergravity.
Findings
Central charges match between gravity and field theory calculations.
New $D=11$ solutions for M5-branes on orbifolds.
Established a new consistent Kaluza-Klein truncation.
Abstract
We construct supersymmetric solutions of supergravity, dual to , SCFTs, that are associated with M5-branes wrapping two different four-dimensional orbifolds. In one case the orbifold is a spindle fibred over another spindle, while in the other it is a spindle fibred over a Riemann surface with genus . We show that the central charges of the SCFTs calculated from the gravity solutions agree with field theory computations using anomaly polynomials. The new solutions are obtained after constructing a new consistent Kaluza-Klein truncation of maximal gauged supergravity reduced on a spindle down to minimal gauged supergravity.
