Hamiltonian Analysis of Nonlocal F(R) Gravity Models
Pawan Joshi, Sukanta Panda

TL;DR
This paper develops a Hamiltonian framework for nonlocal F(R) gravity models to analyze their degrees of freedom and identify conditions for ghost-free theories.
Contribution
It introduces a Hamiltonian formulation for nonlocal F(R) gravity and derives criteria to eliminate ghost degrees of freedom.
Findings
Identified ghost degrees of freedom in nonlocal F(R) models.
Derived conditions for constructing ghost-free nonlocal F(R) theories.
Provided a Hamiltonian approach to analyze nonlocal gravity models.
Abstract
We construct a Hamiltonian for the nonlocal F(R) theory in the present work. By this construction, we demonstrate the nature of the ghost degrees of freedom. Finally, we find conditions that give rise to ghost-free theories
